People who invest in the market expect positive results from a professional investment advisor. Sadly, most professional investment advisors typically give investors a rate of return of between 3 and 4 percent annually. Investors have a fiduciary responsibility to the investor, not the firm. So when you explained about the incentives for moving people into certain investments that make the firm money it proves my point about financial advisors not being fiduciary responsible to the investor. My biggest reason for learning about investing and doing my own. Over 13 years of investing on my own I have produced a 9% annual rate of return compared to PNC who has managed a trust of mine for 35 years giving me a 3% ROI. The only way I would ever consider a financial advisor is if they were paid on results of the profit. No advisor should ever charge a client a dime if they are earning less than 5% percent. You can put your money in the bank and get 5% without an advisor.

I think one of the reasons the brain does this is because it’s rewarding to solve problems. Men are like this. We all have endless problems. But I mean, why not start prioritizing other problems if your finances are no longer a concern. Nobody gets to a point in life where they are like: I’m done, don’t need to do anything in life anymore. That’s depressing in and of itself. We all have endless problems but mindset is important as well. It’s important not to inflate your problems so that they start weighing you down.

How can I get a good financial advisor?

I own automatic watches, but I’ve never fully grasped the sentiment that “automatics are cool because they are mechanical and have a rich history.” Quartz watches have a history too! It begins with the discovery of the piezoelectric properties of quartz and extends to the creation of quartz watches by companies like Seiko and Longines. The history of quartz and digital watches is equally fascinating, and quartz watches can be just as captivating! I don’t understand the specific fascination with mechanical and automatic watches. Especially when you consider that they are not everlasting as some people insinuate. They are similar to your car in that they require regular maintenance.

Im happy to say because of you i completed a bachelors degree, completed the SIE, Series 6 and 63 FINRA exams, and have rolled over a million bucks into my companies accounts since January. My plan is to continue education and do my 7 and 66 this fall, and not stop until I have 100 million AUM. I don't quite agree with Josh. The best way to pass is to acquire the knowledge base through the required 5 courses. BUT, MOST IMPORTANT is to study for the test which means to take practice exams. Get your hands on as many books that contain practice exams as you can. The CFP Board has thir questions in their bank. They have been screened and will appear on the test with slight factual variations. Take Estate Planning. The Board goes to the bank of lets say 1200 questions and pulls out just so many at random for the exam. You need to do the practice exams. Timothy Daulton (author) had these available. When I passed the exam, there was a 58% pass rate. Have things gotten easier. Don't think so. Practice, Practice, Practice. and GOOD LUCK
